The CWC Writers Workshops

Since the beginning, the California Writers Collective (CWC) has presented writers workshops across the state educating the new and aspiring writer the basics of the writing business. In our workshops, attendees can expect the following:
-
How a manuscript is created and how to use the mechanics of
writing such as identifying what is a protagonist, antagonist, metaphor,
simile, stanzas in poetry, etc.
-
What steps need to be taken when submitting a manuscript for
copyright; the truths and falsehoods associated with this practice.
-
Identifying a publishing option that’s best for the aspiring
author. The pros and cons of each publisher and the benefits therein. We’ll
also go in depth to what certain publishers are looking for – and why.
- Marketing your product, why networking is key and the various examples successful authors have utilized in standing out among the rest.
- Trends in the publishing industry and what scams to look out for.
The California Writers Collective writers workshops are
informative, in-depth and concise with tips from veteran authors who have the
experience and know how to easy the anxiety of the first time author and will
offer encouragement along the way. To this date, future writers have been
enriched by attending our workshops and have seen their dreams in print. If you
